Several days ago the presentation of a new product named "Informational resources" took place in the Moscow office of the International finance corporation (IFC). It would seem, absolutely ordinary situation, undoubtedly, in the company of such level and scope often occurs something similar and at what here "A Chance to Work"?!
And the matter is product was presented by its author, 23 years old project’s graduate Olesya Kostenko. In May, 2005 after passage of trainings and seminars of the project Olesya has been directed on interview and internship to IFC. Her duties include search, processing and storage of the information. Four months ago the daring idea has come to Olesya’s head, to change the approach to work with the information as a whole. In IFC it is accepted to collect the information from the particular to the general, i.e. from the company to a segment of the market. Olesya has suggested to go a way back from sector of the market to classification, and then already to the company. By Olesya's opinion it will facilitate understanding of an infrastructure of the company, its position on the market and all segments as a whole. She names the method "The deductive approach to the analysis and storage of the information".
О.К. - Four months I prepared the presentation of the method. As its illustration it was offered to me to prepare information base on seaports of Russia. Had long and to work persistently, I collected the information on grains from all open sources (heavy work, it is necessary to tell). It was necessary to eliminate a plenty of the information because of its discrepancy. At that global approach in understanding of business which exists in IFC, the understanding of an infrastructure and segments of the market is a necessary component. Now I can safely tell, that my method has estimated and I’ve been charged to make new information base on cargo terminals of Russia from the point of view of freight traffic. Then the base on electric power industry. To it I am going to make the appendix - an explanatory dictionary of terms that will simplify the work with the base for any level of users.
