Central Union Mission - ACW Washington

Established in 1884, Central Union Mission is one of America's oldest social service ministries. The ministry began as an outreach to wayward men, many of them Civil War veterans, on the streets of Washington. Central Union Mission serves hurting people throughout Washington Metropolitan Area. We serve homeless men, families living in poverty, children from at risk neighborhoods and the growing Hispanic population in the city.

Maria's Children

Our Moscow-based organization provides arts therapy and training for Russian orphans. We offer an atmosphere in which children can recognize their creative potential, developing talents and self-esteem that will serve them in later life. By inviting these children into our homes, teaching them life skills, and exposing them to safe, loving family environments, we hope to improve their chances of successful integration into society.

The Samaritan Inn - ACW Washington

Our goal is to help individuals and families regain independence through the Samaritan Inn's programs of Homeless Prevention, Emergency Shelter, Case Management, and Supported Transitional Living. The Samaritan Inn mission is to provide transitional refuge for homeless individuals and families, primarily from Collin County, who desire self-sufficiency and to provide temporary emergency shelter to families and individuals in crisis.
"Podval" Centre.

Is a non-commercial organization active in Moscow since 1985 which uses the methods of art-therapy, as well as various role-play and educational methodologies for working with children and teenagers. The means which we use in our work are very different. Some people say that we are psychologists, some call us play-role technique specialists, others - pedagogues. We ourselves are not really interested in finding a definition for what we do for many years already. What is of interest to us is to help people in the world around them, teach them to treat themselves and others with attention and respect, to do everything they can so that they would not feel themselves lonely and useless.
